Who are the Sister Communities of San Ramón?

com mu ni ty (noun.) 1. a group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common. 2. a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals.

Over the years, we’ve struggled to pin down who “The Sister Communities of San Ramón” are.  Sometimes they are church congregations; sometimes they are school groups; sometimes they are families. But one thing they all have in common is that they have had contact with the people of San Ramón and been inspired by their resilience and their open-hearted kindness.

Below are a few of the groups and people who we consider to be Sister Communities of San Ramón:

Durham Friends Meeting

Eno River Unitarian Universalist Fellowship

Unitarian Coastal Fellowship

Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Raleigh

United Church of Chapel Hill

Unitarian Universalist PEACE Fellowship of Raleigh

South Granville Rotary Club

Community Church of Chapel Hill Unitarian Universalist

Greensboro Day Service Without Borders Club

Chapel Hill High Spanish Honors Society

Belen Jesuit Preparatory School

Carol Woods Retirement Community

These groups, along with many other individuals, stay connected to San Ramón through ecotours, sponsoring a school, donating to our projects, or selling coffee or crafts. If you’d like to get involved, please contact us!
