One thing that sets San Ramón apart is how private and public institutions have found ways to unite efforts and collaborate on large projects. At the beginning of the 2017-18 Fiscal Year, SCSRN was invited to support a campaign to end teen pregnancy in the municipality of San Ramón. Eight non-profit organizations worked alongside the Ministry of Health, the police, and the public defender’s office to host workshops, health fairs, and focus groups with youth and adult leaders in rural communities to confront this very serious problem. You can read more about this project on our blog.
