ART PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN
A prominent Nicaraguan artist described San Ram贸n as having the most vibrant art scene for children in the entire country! As young artists mature, they teach art to the youngsters. Because many visitors purchase paintings, motivation stays high to learn the techniques of the primitivist style of painting Nicaragua is known for. We support the art instructors who teach and inspire young artists to support themselves through the sale of their paintings.
About 25 youngsters show up for painting class every week eager to learn something new or finish one of their masterpieces!
MUSIC PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN
Children in San Ramon treasure the children’s music program, which SCSRN supports.聽 We聽 pay a modest stipend to a gifted musician who teaches guitar, keyboard, accordian and flute.聽 Parents and children alike value this creative outlet for children who don’t have many choices for afterschool activities.
