Creating Opportunity and Hope in Rural Nicaragua

Creating Opportunities for Rural Communities

Thanks to generous support from our grassroots donors, and the Jeffery Cook Charitable Trust SCSRN has broken ground聽 on its 7th rural school, Mina Verde No. 2 ! Rural school projects are vital to ensuring that all children in San Ram贸n have hope for a better future through education.聽 Each school is built in partnership with a committee of community volunteers, who donate land, help with construction, and school upkeep. Here is what Rosa Emelda leader of the Mina Verde No. 2 Organizing Committee had to say about the project

Rosa Emelda Mina Verde Dos Community Leader

” As a parent, I’m so thankful to Sister Communities for helping us build this school. Our children have to walk so far now. Having the school in our community will make it easier to for them to go and to motivate them to study.”
