This spring, a group of students and faculty from Greensboro Day School traveled to San Ramon. Here is what one student had to say about the trip:
“The trip to Nicaragua was a great success. The first two mornings we went to our sister school and met the students (about 80, from kindergarten to 6th grade). They received us with dances, recitation of poems written by the famous local poet Ruben Dario, and speeches by some of the parents, thanking us for our support. We did all kinds of crafts and games with the kids, all activities were led by our students. They were extremely patient and amiable. The second day, we took Polaroid pictures of ALL of the kids; some of them had never seen themselves on a picture, so it was quite a treat for them. Some of the parents came so that they could have a picture with their child. I know they will remember this moment for a long time.”
